I was born and grew up in Japan, and struggled with eating disorders, body image disorders, and low self-esteem since age of 13 to early 30s. Through a lot of support and effort, I am healed and happy as ever be. I am a mother of two wonderful kids and wife to an amazing man.
I earned a Registered Holistic Nutritionist diploma from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition while I worked concurrently as a personal trainer at Elite Level at Goodlife Fitness in Toronto, ON. Following a dream, and an opportunity, my family moved to Sidney, BC, where I decided to pursue my own business.
I graduated from Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in 2015, and became a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
